Anya Taylor-Joy, born April 16, 1996, in Miami, grew up in Argentina and London within a multinational family. She spoke only Spanish until age six and later learned English. Her acting debut was in The Witch (2015), followed by a notable role in Split (2016). She gained worldwide recognition for The Queen's Gambit (2020), winning a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Beth Harmon.
