Biography of Elena Kulichenko
Elena Kulichenko, born on 28 July 2002 in Odintsovo, began her high jumping career in Russia before competing for Cyprus from 2021. She moved to the United States in 2021 to study sociology at the University of Georgia. After changing her sporting citizenship due to sanctions, she won the 2023 European Youth Championships and the 2024 NCAA Championships, setting a record of 1.97 metres.
In July 2024, Kulichenko was the flag bearer for Cyprus at the Paris Olympics. She shares her training routines on Instagram and Telegram, while keeping her personal life private, with interests in reading and travelling.
