Linda Cardellini, born June 25, 1975, in Mount Prospect, Illinois, is an American actress known for her roles in television and film. She graduated from the University of Chicago for the Arts and began her acting career in 1997. Cardellini gained recognition for her role as Sam Taggart in ER (1998–2003) and appeared in films such as Silver Linings Playbook (2012), Gravity (2013), and Green Book (2018), receiving an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Between 2019 and 2022, she played Laura Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Avengers: Endgame and the series Hawkeye. Her recent work includes the films Dead on Arrival (2022), Night House (2023), and the series Hunters (2020–2023).
She has been married to screenwriter Christian Taylor since 2009, with one daughter born in 2011.
