Biography of Yuliya Snigir
Yulia Snigir, born June 2, 1983, in Donskoy, Tula Oblast, is a Russian actress and model. She studied English Philology at Moscow Pedagogical State University and graduated from the Shchukin Theater School. Her film debut was in The Last Mine (2006), and she gained recognition for her role as Rada Gaal in The Inhabited Island (2008–2009). She also appeared in the Hollywood film Tough Nut (2013), and in TV series including The Great (2015), The New Pope (2020), and The Master and Margarita (2024). In 2018, she received the Russian Federation Government Award.
Yulia grew up in a family where her father was a chess coach and her mother a telephone operator; she became a candidate for master of sports in chess. She is in a relationship with actor Evgeny Tsyganov, with whom she has a son, Fyodor, born in 2016. Yulia shares her creative projects on Instagram under the handle @yuliasnigir.
