Biography of Lindsey Vonn
Lindsey Caroline Vonn, born October 18, 1984, in St. Paul, Minnesota, is an American alpine skier known for excelling in downhill and super-G events. She began skiing at age 2, relocated to Vail, Colorado, at 7 for training, debuted in the World Cup at 16 in 2000, and won her first race in 2004. Vonn secured four overall World Cup titles (2008–2010, 2012), 20 downhill wins (a women's record), 82 World Cup victories (second all-time), and earned Olympic gold in downhill at Vancouver 2010 and bronze in super-G at Pyeongchang 2018. She also claimed three world championships in downhill (2009, 2011, 2013). Vonn retired in 2019 due to multiple injuries, including over ten fractures and knee surgeries. Post-retirement, she became a TV presenter for NBC Olympics, authored her autobiography Rise (2022), founded the Lindsey Vonn Foundation supporting children and animals, launched a clothing brand, and invests in women's sports. She is active on Instagram with over 2 million followers. Her personal life includes marriage to Thomas Vonn (2008–2011), a relationship with Tiger Woods (2013–2015), and currently dating soccer player John Cameron since 2023.
