Maria Shumakova, born on April 19, 1989, in Moscow, is a Russian theater and film actress. She graduated from the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School in 2010 and gained recognition for her role as Natasha in the series Sweet Life (2014–2016), for which she gained 15 kg. Her notable works include Second Sight (2016), Pregnancy Test 2 (2019), and Grozny (2020), along with appearances in Interns, Kitchen, and Trace.
She performs at the Sovremennik and Lenkom theaters and received an award for best female role and the title of Honored Artist of St. Petersburg in 2025. Maria lives in St. Petersburg, is married to Slava Gusev since 2022, and shares updates about her professional work on Instagram and VK while maintaining privacy regarding her personal life.
